On Aug. 19, I had the opportunity to attend a luncheon sponsored by the Southern Colorado Women’s Chamber. The event was well-attended and provided ample time for networking. I met new business prospects, connected with friends, and was inspired by the speakers.
The featured speaker was Dr. Nancy Saltzman, Colorado College class of 1974. Her inspirational message ended with a reminder to keep things in perspective and to find the joy in every day. C.J. Moore (last year’s winner) announced the 2008 Business Leader of the Year Award winner - Joy Love. Joy is a fascinating woman - she runs Eagle19 Consulting and is a professor of Mathematics at UCCS. I enjoyed meeting Joy & her husband after the event, and I appreciate the fact that the Southern Colorado Women’s Chamber hosts this great event every year.
